The team training grant focuses on developing farm to school food programs in our community and is sponsored by the Purdue Extension Program and the Indiana Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program.

In August, Council members will participate in a webinar; following the webinar, the team will attend an all day training workshop in Indianapolis.  The grant covers costs (travel, training materials, instruction) associated with the training program.

Several similar organizations throughout the state were awarded this grant, so there will be an opportunity to network and share experiences on how to develop local agriculture in our schools.  This map shows the location of other award winners.  Watch this space for more information about the Marshall County Food Council!
